Eastern Trend

*pin this for later!*

Happy Monday, lovely people! Along with lots of other fun things, Eastern inspired clothing is going to be huge for autumn/winter 2017, and I’m in love! It’s so beautiful that I couldn’t help myself from picking up a statement piece.

The trends for this autumn/winter are some of the most exciting I’ve seen in a while. I guess it’s because it pulls a little from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (all of which I’m pretty obsessed with).

I’m really in love with the Eastern trend emerging and this cheongsam style dress from Zara is so, so gorgeous. I mean can we talk about this color?!?! The vibrant green is a perfect backdrop for the large floral print of the dress. So the color and pattern alone are enough to make anyone fall in love! Also I can’t not mention that this is my first blog post with the new do! I’m loving being a part of the layered lob crew. But I digress…

The fit of this dress is also really, really great! Usually, sheath style dresses don’t flatter me all that well since I am a bustier lady. They either look like a tent or they’re too tight. But the cut of this dress is perfect and fits in all the right places! It’s definitely a mini dress so if you’re like me, you won’t be busting a move on the dance floor any time soon because the movement in this beauty is pretty limited. But that might not matter so much depending on where you plan on wearing it.

I was going to pair it with black accessories, but my husband stepped up and put his two cents in suggesting I wear these coral slingbacks and this blue straw bag. I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised and then at the same time, I’m not surprised at all because my hubby has good style! The colors work amazing together and I love how it all turned out!

Here are some more pieces I have my eye on!
