Can you believe I’m almost into week 35 of my pregnancy?! Time is quite literally flying by, and I’m so ready to meet our sweet baby boy!
Because I’ve been bad and haven’t taken as many pregnancy shots as I should have, JD and I decided to head out to a nearby field and snap some photos of my ever growing bump.
Finding a dress that I wanted to wear was quite the ordeal. I really enjoyed pictures like this one, but honestly I didn’t want to spend over $100 for a maternity photo dress that I would pretty much only wear once. I’m not the most frugal person in the world, but that was just too much for me. I found some more “affordable” options on Amazon, but they were epic fails and quickly got returned. I knew I wanted something ethereal looking and preferably off shoulder with a sweetheart neckline. I had a vision for what I thought would look best on my pregnant body and nothing was measuring up.
It wasn’t until my friend, KB, came to visit that we found the perfect dress! And it’s not even a maternity dress, so I will be able to wear it after pregnancy! There’s a panel of stretchy fabric in the back that helps it adjust over my baby bump. The mustard color is perfect, and you can’t go wrong with the floral pattern. And best of all, it was less than $20! Boom!
I’m in love with these pictures, and I’m so glad we got to have a little photography fun together. The third trimester has been flying by, so it’s nice to take moments like these to relax and enjoy being pregnant. I don’t want to forget what this first experience was like. Sometimes, I have to remind myself to slow down and smile.
